Made of brass and wood. These punches cut through mat board and many layers of card stock with ease!  You won't believe your eyes!  This is an item you will want to save your pennies for! Each Punch comes with an 1/8" bit. 

The screw punch is an amazing tool! You simply press down on the punch and it drills through your paper, mat board, fabric, leather....etc.  It is practically effortless (and silent for those midnight crafters)!  The mechanics of the screw punch allow it to spin as you press down.  The sharp bit spins and drills a perfect hole...so perfect, that the edges of the hole are smooth without any rips or frayed paper edges.  I even use mine to punch through baked polymer clay...that is how tough this gadget is!

The wood handle on the knock-off is the same length. The brass shaft is 1/4" shorter which makes the drilling action shorter. The brass shaft does not look as finished. Our punch has the words "screw punch" and the patent number etched around the brass ring close to the wood handle. The "look-a-like punch bit did not even drill through a thin cardboard chip board and the drilling motion is not as smooth. Unfortunately both tools look exactly the same in pictures and on the web.   Don't get caught spending your money on a look-a-like!  You will be disappointed!
