ABSOLUTELY! The ReMountable System can be used with any rubber stamp! Say, for example, your rubber stamp already has cushion on it....but that cushion is sticky. The solution is simple! Peel off the protective backing on the unmounted stamp to expose the sticky adhesive. Grab a sheet of our ReMountable Tape. Adhere your unmounted stamp to the ReMountable Tape. Trim around the stamp leaving approximately 1/8" of the clear ReMountable Tape around the entire stamp. Once you remove the ReMountable Tape from its protective backing, it will shrink. Leaving the 1/8" slack around the stamp will prevent the clear ReMountable Tape from shrinking too far and exposing the sticky adhesive on the back of your stamp. When you purchase our ReMountable Cushion, there is no flappy ReMountable Tape on the edges. We like to say our cushion is "pre-shrunk". Q: What can I use to cut the cushion? I like to use KAI scissors. I purchased mine from www.Keyhole.com Make sure your scissors are sharp, strong and free of sticky goo. If you use a dull scissors, your chance of undercutting is very high! Q: Why do I need ReMountable Tape? ReMountable Tape is used for two things....One, cover the adhesive backing of your unmounted stamp so it does not stick permanently to your acrylic block (see first FAQ). Two, cover the surface of your acrylic block with a sheet of ReMountable Tape. This will serve as a protective covering for your block, as well as working like a seat belt to hold your heavier stamps in place. The stamp with ReMountable Cushion will stick better to the surface with the ReMountable Tape compared to the surface without it. Q: Can I clean my ReMountable Block and Cushion? You sure can. However, make sure you use a mild soap and water. Strong cleaners will eventually ruin your acrylic blocks. I like to clean my ReMountable Block and ReMountable Cushion with baby wipes! There is enough cleanser to keep the grease and glitter off the surface of my cushion and block. I also wash the inky stamps under the faucett with hand soap....remember, the cushion will not get ruined in water. The reason you can't wash your mounted stamps in the water, is that it will ruin the wood mount.
