Try one of these great shading templates.
Just put the template under your paper and color in or around
your stamped image with any DRY medium.
Chalk, colored pencils, crayons. Remember when we used to do coin rubbings?
Well, this is very much the same. The texture templates are molded
deep enough to use with heavy card stock. You can also
use paint or ink directly on the template and use it like a
stamp. The templates will wash up under warm water.
Each set contains 6 - 8.5 x 11" sheets...each sheet contains the textures shown below.

Having difficulty?  Try these three tips.....

1..There is a front and back of the shading template...the smooth feeling side goes UP.

2..Don't use a sharp colored pencil.  Use a dull pencil with a blunt tip.

3..The thicker the cardstock, the smoother the surface should be.  Linen cardstock...bad idea.  The texture of the paper will override the texture of the templates.  I like to use cover stock from staples (if you saw me demoing, that is what I was using).  It is smooth enough to run through a printer and thick enough to hold glue and other stamping techniques.

With those three tips, it is sure to be successful!

Have fun!

Chris,

This morning, I tried the shading templates with my Spellbinders Wizard. I bought them several years ago, at Stampaway and decided they were just too much trouble, so, I put them away. Glad I didn't THROW them away!!!

All the sheets came out beautiful!! What lovely, textured backgounds I have now!!

The sandwich is:

1 white mat
texture plate of choice
card stock
tan polymer pad
blue mat from charm kit

I lightly spritzed my CS with water.

I used the nature plates. Guess I'll have to get the Architectural one next.

Try this, you'll love it!!

Lynne
